About Me

My passion for helping others and my love for babies led me down the career path to become a doula! I was taking college courses and wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go, but always knew two things: I wanted to help others and I wanted to be around children (especially babies). After much deliberation, I decided to switch gears from a more traditional path of getting a college degree and instead I focused on my training courses to become a birth and postpartum doula. Shortly after my training, I got my first client and during her birth, I labored alongside her for 42 hours (with no sleep!). You would think that this would deter someone from continuing this path, but I was overwhelmed with the feeling that this was truly meant for me. I have had experience in caring for children ages newborn (even twins!) to tweens for over 10 years and truly have a passion for caregiving and helping others. I strongly believe there is not enough care, support and education for expecting and new parents, and I am driven to help make a change in the system in the way in which mothers are cared for and treated.
